Size Guide

  • Every face is different so we provide multiple sizes for everybody. For best result mask should fit snug around your jawline and cheeks. Simply measure from the tip of your nose to the bottom of your chin. Please find below a size chart. If you are in between sizes, size up.

  • X-SMALL Recommended size for those with a Tip of Nose to Chin measurement that range from 2.5 - 3.0 inches. Recommended for youth age 4 and up.
  • SMALL Recommended size for adults with generally smaller faces and youth 10 and up with a Tip of Nose to Chin measurement that range from 3.5 - 4.0 inches. Ideal size for ages 10 and up.
  • MEDIUM Recommended size for most people with a Tip of Nose to Chin measurement of 4.0 - 4.5 inches.
  • LARGE Recommended size for most people with a Tip of Nose to Chin measurement of 4.5 - 5.0 inches.
  • X-LARGE Recommended size for people with fuller cheeks or rounder faces with a Tip of Nose to Chin measurement of 5.0 - 5.5 inches.

  • Mask Sizing

  • How many times can I reuse the mask?

    The mask can be worn up to 100 times before it should be replaced with a new one. Take care to hand wash separately with mild soap and hang open to dry.

  • How often should I wash my mask? And how should I wash it?

    You should hand wash your mask separately after every use. To properly wash your mask, please use lukewarm water and mild, non-scented soap. Make sure to rinse the soap out of your mask thoroughly. Then hang open to air dry. For more information, please visit our Mask Guide.

  • How do I recycle the hmnkind Antibacterial Performance Mask?

    You can insert your mask into a standard envelope and mail it back to our facility. Ship to: HMNKIND RECYCLING, 673 Monterey Pass Rd, Monterey Park, 91754. We will collect used masks and deliver to a recycling partner.

  • What is the hmnkind 30 day Satisfaction Guarantee?

    We want you to be very completely satisfied with our products and service. If for any reason you are not 100% happy with Hmnkind, we will issue you a refund. As a small local business, we want to continuously improve, so your feedback will help us grow as a company. There is a lot to be worried about out there, so the hmnkind 30 day Satisfaction Guarantee gives you one less thing to worry about.   • Where does 10% of my purchase go? How can I see my contributions?

  • I don’t think any of the 5 sizes will fit me. Help?

  • Is the APM safe for children?

    Our mask has been approved by FiTi for all ages. But, we do not recommend the APM for children younger than 4 years of age. Based on the smallest fit available, we recommend the hmnkind APM in size XS for ages 4 and older. The hmnkind APM is not a toy and not intended for medical-use.

  • Why doesn’t the APM have an adjustable nose bridge?

    Although we understand the benefits of a nose bridge, the APM would not be a recyclable product with the adjustable nose bridge. We are currently in a design process to continuously improve the fit and seal across the nose bridge. 

  • Where do you ship from?

    We ship from our warehouse in Southern California. Depending on your shipping instructions, your order should be processed within 1-2 business days. Please note, however, that due to COVID-19, packages may take longer than expected. 

  • Do you ship internationally?

    Unfortunately we do not offer international shipping at this time.

  • What Shipping Methods are available?

    For all 50 US States, we offer USPS First Class for a flat $5. Orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days. Please note USPS is experiencing higher than expected shipping volumes and you may experience some delays to transit times. 

  • What is the Route Package Protection?

    We offer a package protection service, Route. Opting in for Route’s services will protect package(s) throughout the shipping process in case your package is damaged, lost or stolen during transit. Without Route, the process to get a replacement will be a bit longer as we will have to file the claim with the courier and also file a police report. Route’s shipping protection will cut down resolution time and provide a more convenient customer experience of filing a claim. Below is the difference between choosing Route versus not when needing to file a claim.

    → Click HERE to start a claim through Route. The claim process is 3 steps that takes less than 5 minutes (what happened, which items were affected, submit the claim).
    → Route will respond back within 24-48 with a resolution. When dealing directly with a carrier (opted out of Route), the response time will range up to 10+ days (longer during peak shipping seasons).
    → A replacement order will be attempted prior to automatically issuing a refund.

    Route isn’t necessary to purchase on our website but it will make getting your replacement package much easier and faster in the event that your package gets damaged/lost/stolen during transit.

  • Do you plan on having more colors or other products?

    Yes, absolutely. We’re currently working on a really exciting collection to drop in October/November. Have a great idea for color or product design feedback? We’d love to hear from you!

  • Why do you use so much extra packaging?

    Our shipping partners have educated us on the rising cases of theft for mailed packages. As much as we hate waste, we want to make sure your order gets to you, so we use the generic shipping courier packaging in order to reduce the chance of thievery.
